The Administrative Director reports directly to the Board of Directors, leading discussions and making recommendations to the Board regarding Center policies and other items. The position is salaried, full-time, with varied hours, averaging 40-50 hours per week. The probationary period for this position is one year. Salary Range: $44,000-$55,000 with a sign on bonus. DutiesPrimary Job Duties: Together with the Board of Directors, develop strategic and long-range plans, set programming vision and support teaching staff in programming implementationDevelop and maintain relationships and serve as primary administrative contact for families Oversee and manage enrollment Responsible for hiring, orientation, supervision, and termination of all employees Work with Business Manager to prepare and monitor budget accounting operationsEnsure compliance with all licensing and accreditation requirements, and union contract Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings and serve as an ex-officio member Oversee building maintenance Substitute in classrooms to ensure ratio complianceAdditional responsibilities as needed RequirementsMinimum Requirements: 21 years of age or older 2 years experience as a teacher in a licensed childcare center1 year minimum of supervisory experience Meet state of WI childcare center licensing rules for 50 or less children Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), G-Suite, QuickBooks, and standard administrative softwareCandidates for this position must possess at least one of the following education credentials:Associate degree or higher in early childhood care education or related field, with specialized college-level course work in administration, leadership, and management; OROne-year childcare diploma from an institution of higher education; ORA certificate from The Registry indicating the person is on Registry Level 12 or aboveNice To HavesPreferred Qualifications: Administrative, managerial, and financial experience, preferably in a non-profit settingDemonstrated attention to detail and consistency Ability to efficiently multitask and balance several concurrent projects Bachelor or master’s degree in Early Childhood or related field 10 or more years of experience in an Accredited Early Childhood Program BenefitsBig Oak Child Care Center offers a competitive compensation package with excellent benefits, including health, dental, life insurance, 401k, paid vacation, and discounted childcare for staff.Tracking
