Overview:

Berkeley Research Group, a global strategic advisory and expert consulting firm, is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join the Firms dynamic and highly experienced legal team. BRGs legal team works closely with senior management, practice leadership, and consultants across the Firm in support of business operations.The Associate General Counsel will report to the General Counsel, located in Washington, DC and the Deputy General Counsel, located in Chicago, IL and will support the Firm from a commercial operations perspective, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, such as letters of engagement and non-disclosure agreements. He/she will also assist with client intake and advise on potential conflicts of interest and support compliance functions and training.

Experience: 1-3 years of general commercial contracting and negotiating experience is required.

Compensation: Competitive base salary and bonus.

Location: Washington, DC.

Relocation: Local candidates are strongly preferred.

Bar Admission: Member in good standing of at least one state bar.

Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements, including letters of engagement, Master Services Agreements, RFP documentation and employment agreements.
Ensure that contracts comply with the Firms internal guidelines.
Collaborate with the client intake team on conflict of interest and client relationship matters.
Provide legal advice to internal clients on a variety of legal, compliance and commercial issues.
Assist with internal governance, risk management and compliance programs, including drafting policies and procedures, and participating in the training. Education and Qualifications:

Juris Doctor with strong academic credentials.
Licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one state. Required Experience:

1-3 years of relevant experience at a top-tier law firm and/or corporate legal department.
Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, including engagement letters, Master Service Agreements, vendor agreements and RFP responses. Preferred Experience:

Ability to counsel and confer directly with internal clients and to engage directly with third parties.
Commercial negotiating skills.
Client intake and conflict evaluation experience.
Acclimated to working in a demanding and fast paced environment, and adept at working with strong personalities.
Privacy regulatory experience. Personal Attributes and Traits:
