ArtsWestchester, located in White Plains N.Y. seeks a Director of Administration to join its team of 20 employees. This senior position requires leadership, integrity, confidentiality, experience and skills in comptrollership, bookkeeping, accounting, finance, and human resource management. Knowledge of GAAP nonprofit accounting and QuickBooks is essential. This position reports directly to the CEO, and requires a hands-on professional who can work both independently and as part of the team. Demonstration of knowledge and/or experience in the arts a plus. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing and updating annual budgetManaging annual audit processProviding financial reports to the CEO and the Board of DirectorsRecording and payment of debt serviceMaintaining the financial integrity of all accounting functions, including responsibility for accounts receivable and account payables; review of balance sheet; issuing and tracking annual tax returns Managing annual renewals for all insurance policiesMaintaining compliance records for bond agreement, grants, and other policiesManaging human resources, including submitting bi-monthly payroll through the PaychexplatformProviding financial information for grants applications; assisting with applications and reports for General Operating and Capital grants, including New York State Council on the ArtsStaff liaison to four committees of the board: Audit, Building, Finance, and Investment.Oversees operations of the organizations historic buildingSupervises a Bookkeeper, General Manager, and Receptionist.Additional skills: Accuracy, dependability, strong communication, flexible, collegial, ability to handle multiple projects.Salary Range: $60k-$70k; Benefits include Health Insurance (Employer pays portion of health premium); Vision/Dental options; 401k with Employer match after one year; Life Insurance; Paid Family Leave; Paid Time Off; Remote work options during COVID-19; ParkingArtsWestchester is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to the goal of creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
