Overview

The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors is seeking applications for the position of Allamakee County Zoning Administrator. Candidates for this position will have a Degree with coursework in planning or a related field or at least 2 years of experience in municipal or county zoning and floodplain management or a related field. The Zoning Administrator is responsible for working with other government agencies and county departments in the implementation and revision of the Comprehensive Plan, zoning and subdivision ordinances, community planning and floodplain regulations. The Zoning Administrator serves as staff liaison to Planning & Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment. The Zoning Administrator also prepares reports and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, Board of Appeals and Board of Supervisors. A comprehensive knowledge of code enforcement principles is required.

The salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
