Overview

Aerotek is looking for superintendents with experience in A. Ground up commercial construction AND B. Commercial interior remodels/Build outs**Responsibilities include:**+ Working Superintendent – the Supers are expected to be a part of the team and while they are the lead man and in charge of all aspects of construction management, they will be expected to jump in and work with the crew as well; carpentry background is necessary.+ Supervise the work of trade contractors in several areas of a project+ Enforce high safety standards including a clean job site+ Manage and perform weekly safety inspections+ Inspect the quality of work for compliance with design standard and ensure corrective action occurs if/when necessary+ Work collaboratively on the schedule for individual trade contractors or areas of a project to ensure milestone dates are met+ Review vendor drawings and submittals+ Review details with subcontractors to ensure work is in compliance with document plan+ Review contractors Quality Plan+ Prepare and distribute daily reports+ Resolve jurisdictional disputes+ Establish credibility among Owners, trade contractors, unions etc. by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment**Skills:**Construction, superintendent, carpentry, procore**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**+ Previous construction superintendent experience, working on commercial job sites.+ Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of superintendent experience will be considered, 5+ years is preferred.+ Candidate may be asked to travel so previous experience working on a traveling crew will be a strong plus.+ Candidates with construction experience specifically in ground up and restaurant build-out experience requested.+ Candidates who started as carpenters are preferred; “working Supers” are required.+ Candidates will work on small enough crews that they will have to jump in an help.**About Aerotek:**We know that a company’s success starts with its employees.
