Job Summary:

The Formulation Research Associate provides senior technical oversight in the Test Article Formulation lab area. You will be working with complicated formulations, addressing formulation scale-up technologies, and establishing formulation strategies with clients. You will be expected to follow standard operating procedures and protocols established within the company for specific studies.

Responsibilities:

• Dose preparation, sampling and dispensing for primarily non-GLP studies, however, as the individual gains experience in the position, may support GLP studies.
• Inventory of materials.
• Reconciliation of materials as needed.
• Document accurately, including limited error. Demonstrated increasing proficiency in understanding Xybion daily schedules for completing daily dose worksheets requiring minimal corrections.
• May be assigned as a Formulation Lead for non-GLP studies, including Day 1 preparation activities.
• May cross train to perform some basic analytical work, i.e. UV-VIS for dose concentration analysis.
• May cross train to support pharmacy operations, i.e. dispense controlled substances.

• BA or BS in a scientific discipline
• 0-1 years in a regulated environment. Equivalent combination of education and work experience may substitute for education requirement.
• Satisfactory performance, demonstrated skill and completion of required training will determine eligibility for advancement from current level.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as study schedules, SOP’s etc.
• Basic math skills.
• Continual GLP training. Responsible to ensure training records for pharmacy laboratory procedures and equipment are complete and accurate.
• Solid reasoning ability.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cross functionally on process improvements.
• Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment.
