Overview

**Description:**The Research Associate will be an integral part of the Research and Development Department. The successful candidate will be expected to perform research studies and prepare scientific reports to support product development activities. Previous experience in formulation development, micro- and/or nano-particles or other drug delivery systems is strongly preferred. Previous experience in process development/manufacturing is a plus. A B.S. or M.S. in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, materials science, or other related fields is required.Your responsibilities will include:· Function as a member of the R Team to plan and perform studies to design, manufacture and characterize novel, sustained-release drug formulations suitable for ocular delivery.· Work in a cross-functional team to perform studies to establish and optimize manufacturing processes, and support technology transfer to CMOs.· Perform analytical assays including UV-vis spectrophotometry, HPLC and GPC.· Prepare scientific reports and presentations to support pre-IND and IND activities.**Skills:**Chemistry, HPLC, R, Research, product development, GPC, uv vis, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacology, nano-particles, drug delivery, perform research, materials science, process development, formulation**Top Skills Details:**ResearchChemistryNanoparticles**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**Experience:• A B.S. or M.S. in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, materials science, or other related fields is required.• 0-3 years post-graduate degree work experience.
