Overview
**Description:**The Gas Skilled Laborer/Groundman is responsible for supporting the crew by assisting with the installation and repair of gas lines. This position supports the Line team and works with personnel within the department.1. Gather materials for the job that day and make sure the crew has everything required2. Distribute material at job site3. Hand locate existing utilities4. Hand grade landscape areas.5. Safely operate equipment, such as rubber-tired backhoe, skid steer loader, directional drill, trencher, etc.6. Utilize equipment after the Operator digs the ditch line for gas mains.7. Lift heavy natural gas pipelines for installation, when needed.8.
