Overview
The Controls Programmer will be responsible for programming HVAC equipment including: VFDs, sensors, dampers, valves, pumps and fans. This person should have an understanding on how HVAC systems (air handling units, heating and cooling systems, etc.) function. This role could also include work on Audio/Video systems in buildings and many other tasks with building automation. This candidate should also be comfortable going to customer sites for troubleshooting and some miscellaneous field work such as cable pulling or A/V install and setup.Responsibilities:1. From the plans, specs and job estimate, pick out the components necessary to dothe project.2. Using Microsoft Visio, prepare control drawings and submittals for the project.3. Program the Schneider Electric controllers per the approved sequence ofoperations. This involves BACnet IP and BACnet MSTP protocols.4. Do systems integration to third party devices, Chillers, Boilers, Generators, DataCenter UPSs, etc. using BACnet and Modbus protocols.5. Setup the Schneider Electric or Tridium GUI front end. This may includebuilding simple graphics.6. Provide phone support to the field technicians to help them install the project anddo project check out.7. May do project commissioning with the consulting engineer.8. Prepare as built control drawings.9. The above applies to HVAC Control, Access Control, and Security CameraSystems, and PLCs in Detention Electronics.10. May help support sales.11.
