Provide laboratory and study set up customer support to Biospecimens Accessioning and Processing (BAP) and Pathology Research Core (PRC) multi-site services. Interact with and provide education to research investigators, study coordinators and other study team members in order to provide accurate information while complying with quality and regulatory agencies. Create and maintain procedures and training documents. Must be able to interpret, analyze and extract key sample processing information from lab manuals. Has an understanding of medical laboratory terminology and laboratory practice and workflows. Takes corrective and preventative action to resolve problems. Must be self-motivated to work independently on multiple tasks as well as work in a team setting. Incumbent must have strong interpersonal human relation’s skills to accomplish goals through collaboration and coordination. Position requires strong organizational and analytical skills and maintains professional standards and conduct. Communicates in a direct, clear and concise manner. Listens carefully, demonstrates understanding, documents clearly and maintains an approachable and positive atmosphere. Provide excellent customer service and technical lab support to internal and external customers and colleagues across multiple sites. Effectively manages ambiguous situations, handles customer complaints, navigates internal and external pressures, determines appropriate course of action and coordinates resolutions. Must be able to produce accurate results under time constraints in a fast-paced, customer focused environment. Off hours and weekend work may be required.
Additional Experience and/or Qualifications:
Candidates should have a strong understanding of laboratory settings and processes and must be able to adapt to varied levels of workload in a dynamic environment. Is skillful in working with personal computer software, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, RLIMS, SCC Soft and troubleshooting systems. Customer service experience is preferred.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience in laboratory, research, or research protocol development is required.
