Access Intelligence, LLC, a leading publisher of business-to-business media, has an immediate opening for a Conference Coordinator to join its Satellite Group’s Digital and In-Person Events team. As a Conference Coordinator, you would be responsible for supporting the team’s digital and in-person conference program planning. This would include speaker recruitment and support, industry relations (working with trade associations and other content partners), speaker travel support, budget management, and production oversight of the educational portion of all satellite and telecommunications events.
As a Conference Coordinator, you will work closely with the Conference Chairman to build the content program for both digital and in-person events for the Satellite Group, and will be responsible for the logistics and production of the programs including creating run of show documents, speaker outreach and relations, managing online content schedule, management of AV team onsite, manage digital platform and session recordings, and more. You will engage with speakers, advisory boards, event attendees, and educational partners, and represent the best interests of our events when forming new partnerships with industry associations and organizations within and outside of our markets.
To be successful, we need a candidate who will have strong organization and long- and short-term planning skills, as well as the ability to manage budgets, and to adjust to logistical changes pre-show and on-site. You will also collaborate with the Satellite Group’s editorial team, gaining insight in order to learn the satellite, space and wireless/telecoms industry.
We are looking for someone with a passion for creativity, and an interest in learning about cutting-edge satellite, space, and wireless/telecoms technology. You will need to have strong communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills. You will need be deadline driven, with the ability to quickly adapt to change. Finally, you need to have confidence in leading projects, meetings, and teammates, while also being a team player on projects when serving in a supporting role.
A B.S. or B.A. in any one of the following fields: business; marketing; events management; communications; and/or any technical degree related to markets listed in the description above, along with 1-2 years of experience in any one of the following professions: conference/event planning; b2b publishing/journalism; market analysis;
